ESTAR

Yo estoy delante de pizarra. This week I learned that this means that I am in front of the chalkboard. Estar means how to be. It is your well being, health, condition, and location. It is not permanent like ser is. Ser is to be what.

journalists' safety

Los periodistas necesitan proteccion. Before I continue on to my current event, I have to say that I couldn't remember if even though periodistas is masculine and feminine that you would put los if there were men journalists. Anyways, Mexico is one of the most dangerous places to report from. Many journalists are being assaulted and threatened by drug traffickers. Journalists try to leave out important details about kidnappings and murders to help protect themselves. This doesn't keep them from getting grenades thrown at broadcast stations though. They still need more protection.

Berklee Watson: definite y indefinite articulos

Yo aprendo definite y indefinite articulos. El, la, los, y las translate to the english article "the." Un, una, unos, y unas translate to the english articles a, an, and some. Depending on whether the noun is feminine or masculine or singular or plural helps you to know which article to use.
